Born in the U.S. to Colombian parents, Carlos followed his dream to sign a professional soccer contract as soon as he graduated from High School in 2002.  He was selected into "NY/NJ Metrostars" Reserve Team for Major League Soccer and in late 2003 he went on to join Colombia's "Independiente Santa Fe" Reserve Team.  Knowing the importance of an education and aware of the difficulties achieving a living in soccer, he returned to the states looking for an Athletic Scholarship.  He eventually accepted full Athletic scholarships for Warner Univesity as a freshman (NAIA) and Tyler Junior College as a Sophomore (NJCAA) before being recruited by UCF (NCAA D1) his Junior year.  Carlos eventually graduated as an Electrical Engineer from Polytechnic University of P.R.- Orlando in 2013 and currently resides in FL with his wife and three young boys.  He now coaches and develops local youth for a local soccer Academy.

"It's evident that many young people lack the knowledge and guidance to make an athletic and academic dream work in conjunction.  Knowing first hand the importance of following your dreams, I am determined to use my experience to reach as many athletes and offer a pathway that could lead them to a brighter future as a professional, whether it be academically or in the sports world"

"College Soccer was one of the best experiences of my life and where I created a lifetime of relationships. I wish I had more guidance during the recruiting process and while I was in college, so I could have fully maximized my opportunity as a college student-athlete. I hope to be able to guide the next generation of young athletes and their families to pursue and excel in their college athletic experience"
